Description
This Grade II* listed Victorian house, 33 Palmeira Mansions in Hove, is part of the English Language Centre. The building has a magnificent Victorian interior, including a marble staircase, alabaster tiled walls, marble dados and many extraordinary fireplaces with elaborate overmantels, these being described in the listing as ‘an outstanding collection of fittings'. Over the last few years partitions have been taken down opening up and revealing the full splendor of the marble staircase. Conservation work has recently been finished in the conservatory.
