Description
St Michael & All Angels are two churches in one. The first was built in 1862 by Bodley and the second by Burges some time later. The church is Grade I listed and is the most highly ranked Sussex church in Simon Jenkins’s ‘Thousand Best Churches’ book. The church has internationally famous stained glass by William Morris, Burne-Jones, C E Kempe and others.
