BHOD 13 - Rare Books and Special Collections at the Jubilee Library
Description - Discover some of Brighton's treasures with a tour of the environmentally controlled store housing 45,000 rare and unique works, dating back 800 years. The Collections, of national and international importance, have been given to Brighton Library over the last 140 years by local residents and include amazing works of local, historical and general interest. Many of these 'gems' will be on display in the Tony Miller Reading Room. Guided tour approx 1 hour.
Location - The Jubilee Library, Jubilee Street, Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, BN1 1GE
Timing - Thursday 12 September: 1700-1800. Saturday 14 September: 1130-1230.
Restrictions - Max - 15 people/tour. Free activity but to assist us meet expectations, please pre-book this event. Booking opens: 16 August 2013 at 12:00 hrs. Booking closes: 11 September 2013 at 18:00 hrs
Access - Full wheelchair access. Accessible toilets on-site. Refreshments.
